Meet a painting
See the work and learn its title, who painted it, and something that helps you remember it. Artist characters guide the introductions.
How it works
Artistic turns art history into a game you can play on your phone. Meet the artists, get familiar with their paintings, and put what you remember to the test.
Mobile game coming to iOS and Android.

See the work and learn its title, who painted it, and something that helps you remember it. Artist characters guide the introductions.

Choose the artist, recall a title, match paintings, or take a quick challenge. Feedback shows the answer and explains what to look for.

Earlier paintings return as you meet new ones. Each lesson adds progress to your node, and Bean moves on when you complete all three.
More than recognizing a picture
You’ll connect paintings to their artists, remember names such as The Starry Night, and learn how dates and styles fit together. New works give you a chance to recognize an artist’s approach without having seen that exact painting before.
There’s a game around the learning, too: a path to explore, paintings to collect, and outfits for Bean.

Your first guides: Vincent van Gogh & Claude Monet
Artistic is a mobile game for learning art history. You learn to recognize paintings and their artists, remember titles, and connect works with dates and artistic styles. Bean, your little companion, travels along the lesson path with you.
No. The opening lessons introduce artists and paintings before asking you to recall them. As you progress, familiar works return alongside new ones so you can practice recognizing an artist beyond a single painting.
The lessons focus on understanding and recognizing art. You explore paintings, artists, titles, dates, and styles; there are no drawing exercises.
The opening chapter introduces Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet. Later chapters bring in more painters, including Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, while continuing to revisit earlier artists and paintings.
Lessons are designed to take about two minutes. Each learning node contains three lessons, with painting identification, title recall, matching, and other challenges mixed throughout the path.
